About us

Who are we?

The UofG Bookshop is the specialist academic bookseller for the University of Glasgow. The bookshop is part of GU Heritage Retail Ltd. (GUHRL), a subsidiary company of the University. GUHRL also runs the University of Glasgow Gift Shop and the Hunterian Art Gallery Shop, as well as various other aspects of University of Glasgow retail. All of our profit is reinvested in the University.

GU Heritage Retail Limited (GUHRL) is a company registered in Scotland under number SC207024 whose registered office is at the University of Glasgow G12 8QQ, with VAT Reg. No. 842921916.

As well as class texts and reference titles, the Bookshop also stocks a wide range of fiction, children's books, stationery and gifts. 

 

How to find us

The Bookshop is located on the ground floor of the Fraser Building on Hillhead Street, opposite the University Library. It is marked as E2 on the campus map. 

 

Opening times

We are open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. We are closed at weekends and on public and University holidays.

We believe that it's important to keep University products and our supply chain as ethical and sustainable as possible. We aim to look at the full life-cycle of products wherever possible, considering the production and treatment of raw materials, the lives of the people who make the things that we sell, the treatment of any waste materials, the means of transportation and packaging and post-consumer re-use and disposal.
